About Carole
Carole Overturf is a Dallas-based arts professional and flutist specializing in administrative and marketing support for classical and jazz musicians. A professionally trained musician herself, Carole plays second flute with the New Life Symphony Orchestra and appears periodically as a soloist and chamber musician around the Dallas metroplex.
Carole currently serves as the Administrative Coordinator of Instrumental Studies for the University of North Texas College of Music, where she serves roughly one thousand students. There, she supports faculty and students with anything from registration assistance to event support and internal communication.
Aside from her work for UNT, Carole provides consulting services for individual musicians and small music businesses. She resides in Argyle, Texas with her husband Patrick, a percussionist, their dog Winnie, and two cats named Maestro and Oscar.

Education & Vision
Carole holds a bachelors degree and a masters degree in flute performance from the University of North Texas and Indiana University, respectively. Most recently, she completed an MBA in Music Business at the University of North Texas.
While pursuing her own musical education, Carole learned just how many tedious tasks are necessary to support a performance career in music. Many artists struggle to stay on top of their marketing presence and busy schedule while keeping the creative juices flowing. Although she still loves to play, Carole’s real passion is providing order and security to other artists through calendar management, marketing, project management, and other general administrative tasks.
